Preview: Cohasset Skippers vs. Hull Pirates
Cohasset has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Hull Pirates at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Cohasset can now relate to. They suffered a rough 48-28 loss at the hands of the Redhawks on Friday.
Despite the defeat, Cohasset had strong showings from Michael Wildfire, who threw for 191 yards and two touchdowns, and Max Monahan, who gained 109 total yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Hull was the victim of a tough 44-21 defeat at the hands of Wareham on November 3rd.
Cohasset's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Hull, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.
Cohasset ended up a good deal behind Hull in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, losing 24-10. Can Cohasset avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
