Soccer Game Preview: San Pedro vs. West Adams

The San Pedro Pirates will venture away from home to challenge the West Adams Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

San Pedro took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Wednesday. They came out on top against Banning by a score of 3-1. The Pirates found success even though the refs didn't miss a thing: Adrian Martinez and Daniel Ortiz were both handed yellow cards.

Meanwhile, two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Adams walked away with it. They were the clear victor by a 4-1 margin over the Cougars on Thursday. Considering the Panthers' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Middle College with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Dennis Alfaro, David Antonio, Ramon Castrejon, and Miguel Dominguez.

San Pedro's record is now 8-12. As for West Adams, their record now sits at 4-10.
