Softball Preview: Alliance Aviators vs. Minerva Lions
Alliance has played every game this season on their home field, but they'll have to hit the road on Monday. They will challenge the Minerva Lions at 5:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
In Saturday's second game, Alliance got the win against Firestone by a conclusive 12-5.
Alana . spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.
At the plate, Alexa Brown was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tasia Hendershot, who went 1-for-4 with a triple, two RBI, and a run.
Meanwhile, Minerva narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Tuscarawas Central Catholic 5-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for Minerva.
