Baseball Game Preview: Peters Township Indians vs. North Hills Indians

Peters Township will face off against North Hills at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Peters Township will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

If Peters Township beats North Hills with six runs on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Peters Township narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Canon-McMillan 6-4.

Brady Pirosko looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Peters Township let Jackson Stocker and Michael Alspaugh run wild. Stocker scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Alspaugh got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI. What's more, Stocker posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Takacs, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, North Hills had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 16-1 to Gateway.

Peters Township's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for North Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Peters Township came out on top in a nail-biter against North Hills in their previous matchup back in March of 2016, sneaking past 8-7. Does Peters Township have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Hills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
