Basketball Game Preview: Johnson Jaguars vs. Clark Cougars

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Johnson Jaguars challenge the Clark Cougars at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday... Johnson will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Johnson strolled past Churchill with points to spare, taking the game 55-36. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly 19 points.

Meanwhile, Clark unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They received a blow as they fell 53-39 to Reagan.

Johnson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points per game. As for Clark, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7.

Johnson was able to grind out a solid win over Clark in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 52-43. Will Johnson repeat their success, or does Clark have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
