Baseball Recap: Parker Comes Up Short

Parker managed to slip by Minor the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Thundering Herd came up short against the Tigers on Thursday, falling 16-5. The Thundering Herd were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Tigers earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Je'Derrian Knox made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Parker is 3-1 when Knox posts two or more runs, but 10-12 otherwise.

Parker's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-13. As for Minor, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-18 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parker will challenge Woodlawn at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Minor, they will square off against Shelby County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
