Baseball Game Preview: Newark Norsemen vs. Earlville Red Raiders

Newark has gone 8-1 against Earlville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Norsemen will look to defend their home field against the Red Raiders at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Newark came up short against Greenfield/Northwestern and fell 4-1.

Newark saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Ulrich, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Earlville also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Parkview Christian Academy by a score of 6-2. The Red Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aaden Browder was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Newark's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Earlville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
