Basketball Game Preview: Franklin County Flyers vs. Bullitt East Chargers

The Franklin County Flyers will face off against the Bullitt East Chargers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Friday, Franklin County blew past Frankfort, posting an 86-16 victory. Given the Flyers' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked tenth, while the Panthers are ranked 215th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Bullitt East had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Mustangs 58-10.

Bullitt East's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-9. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.5 points over those games. As for Franklin County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 18 of their last 19 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

Franklin County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Bullitt East in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 58-53 victory.
