Richmond-Burton strolled into their game on Saturday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came out on top against the Elgin Maroons by a score of 2-0. The Rockets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Maroons, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Richmond-Burton took both sets by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-14.

Dani Hopp paced Richmond-Burton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hopp got some help from Josie Franckowiak and her 11 assists. Franckowiak also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Addy Woods, racking up two apiece.

Richmond-Burton's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Elgin, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Richmond-Burton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Libertyville on the 6th. As for Elgin, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Wisconsin Lutheran on the 6th.
