Football Recap: New Boston Lions vs. Edgewood Bulldogs
New Boston and Edgewood squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but New Boston had to settle for second. They lost 54-28 to the Edgewood Bulldogs. The Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
A big part of Edgewood's win came down to the chemistry between Trevor Golightly and his top target Tony Smith. Golightly threw for 213 yards and five touchdowns while Smith gained 184 total yards and six touchdowns. Bryan Paniagua helped Golightly out on the ground, rushing for 77 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
New Boston now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Edgewood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-3.
