Basketball Recap: Standley Lake Piles Up the Points Against Northglenn

Standley Lake's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Northglenn Norsemen 50-17. The Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 30 points or more this season.

Standley Lake found their leader in sophomore Sydney Martin, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds. That's the most boards Martin has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kameron Mireles-Ciancio, who went 7 of 13 en route to 16 points and four steals.

Standley Lake smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive contests.

Standley Lake's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Northglenn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4.

Standley Lake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-48 victory against Longmont on the 15th. Northglenn has also already played their next game, a 58-32 defeat against D'Evelyn on the 14th.
