Softball Recap: Kewanee Comes Up Short

Kewanee managed to slip by Rock Island the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Boilermakers came up short against the Rocks on Wednesday, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Boilermakers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Kewanee's defeat dropped their record down to 18-14. As for Rock Island, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.

Kewanee does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rock Island, they have already played their next matchup, a 17-0 win against Galesburg on the 15th.
