Basketball Recap: Prior Lake Christian Comes Up Short

Prior Lake Christian has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 56-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the South Metro HomeSchool Huskies. The Royals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 67-41.

Despite the loss, Prior Lake Christian still got an impressive performance from Noah Morgan, who dropped a double-double with 30 points and 11 rebounds. Morgan's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Elijah Wilson, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine boards.

Even though they lost, Prior Lake Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive contests.

Prior Lake Christian's record now sits at 20-10. As for South Metro HomeSchool, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Prior Lake Christian will take on St. Cloud Christian at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. South Metro HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
