AA Bay Rivers' top pitcher this week was
Lafayette's
Daniel Blankinship. He racked up nine strike outs this week.
Warhill had a successful week, as it won three total games to lead the league. The Lions beat
New Kent 6-2 and
Caroline 7-0.
Although the Rams surrendered only three walks this week, the lowest number in the league over that span, Warhill is still tops for the season with just 42 walks over 136 innings this year.
Four batters hit over .400 this week. The group was paced by Clay Frost, who collected three hits in five at bats for a .600 average.
Solomon Mccray, Iii stayed on top of the league with a .462 average this year after hitting .500 this week for Lafayette.
Blankinship struck out nine in
Southampton's 5-4 win over the Rams on May 27. He gave up eight hits and four runs over seven innings of work.
