Godby had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They walked away with a 47-39 win over the Rickards Raiders on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Raiders last Friday, they had to take a 55-47 defeat.

Rickards' loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Benjamin Plummer, who posted 12 points. Romie Cosby was another key player, putting up ten points.

Godby has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. As for Rickards, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.

Godby wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-62 victory against Raines on the 12th. As for Rickards, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 49-34 win against Paxon School For Advanced Studies on the 12th.
