Baseball Game Preview: Atlantic Christian Sharks vs. Palm Beach Gardens Gators

The Atlantic Christian Sharks are taking a road trip to take on the Palm Beach Gardens Gators at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Atlantic Christian knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Palm Beach Gardens likes a good challenge.

Atlantic Christian's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Katz Yeshiva as Atlantic Christian made off with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Sharks, who have now won eight matchups by nine runs or more so far this season.

David Gonzalez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Atlantic Christian is undefeated when Gonzalez posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Reily Campusano, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Palm Beach Gardens lost 10-1 to Saint Andrew's on Saturday. The Gators have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Atlantic Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. Palm Beach Gardens' loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Atlantic Christian's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. Atlantic Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.2 stolen bases per game.
