Chaminade falls despite strong effort from Jonas Thurman

Recap: Chaminade Eagles vs. St. Francis Golden Knights

The Chaminade Eagles fought the good fight in their overtime game against the St. Francis Golden Knights on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Golden Knights by a score of 74-71. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Despite the loss, Chaminade still got an impressive performance from Jonas Thurman, who went 6 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 1 assist. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Goldman, who scored 23 points.

Chaminade bumped their record down to 16-7 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for St. Francis, their victory bumped their record up to 15-7.

Chaminade will be playing at home against Crespi at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Crespi presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Chaminade in California (Crespi is ranked 21st, while Chaminade is ranked 105th). As for St. Francis, they will head out on the road to face off against Sierra Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
