Gateway waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They breezed by the East Lee County Jaguars to the tune of 76-16. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

V'Davrielle Johnson was her usual excellent self, putting up 33 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Gateway's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenyah Moss, who posted 20 points.

Gateway pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.4 points per game. As for East Lee County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 13 of their last 16 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.

Gateway has already played their next matchup, a 50-17 victory against South Fort Myers on the 28th. As for East Lee County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 52-21 win against Immokalee on the 28th.
