Preview: Van Nuys Wolves vs. San Fernando Tigers
Van Nuys is 8-2 against San Fernando since January of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Van Nuys Wolves will be playing at home against the San Fernando Tigers at 4:30 p.m. San Fernando took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Van Nuys, who comes in off a win.
Van Nuys posted their biggest victory yet this season on Friday. They blew past Panorama 64-39. The victory was just what Van Nuys needed coming off of a 76-53 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, San Fernando was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 50-45 to Kennedy. San Fernando has not had much luck with Kennedy recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Adrian Lomeli, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Bynum, who scored 11 points.
Van Nuys' victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-7. As for San Fernando, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-10.
