            Football Recap: Santee Warriors vs. Shelton Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            Santee lost against Shelton back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Friday. The Warriors were dealt  a  67-7 loss at the hands of the Bulldogs. On the bright side, the seven- point  effort marked the Warriors' highest-scoring  contest to date.
 Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, who contributed six in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Payton Ferguson, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
 Shelton was led to victory by  Jhet Hagan and  Justin Wiehn.  Hagan rushed for 60 yards and a pair of  scores, while  Wiehn rushed for 44 yards and two  touchdowns. Those  two  rushing touchdowns gave  Wiehn a new career-high.  Owen Johnson was in the mix  too, providing Shelton with two TDs.
Santee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Shelton, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-3 record  this season.
 Santee will head out on the road to  take on  Grand Island Lutheran  on Friday. As for Shelton, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Stuart  at 3:00  p.m. The Broncos' defense has only allowed 12.2  points per game  this season, so the Bulldogs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
