Basketball Game Preview: Lake Highlands Wildcats vs. Dallas Jesuit Rangers

The Lake Highlands Wildcats will challenge the Dallas Jesuit Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lake Highlands comes in on five and Dallas Jesuit on three.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lake Highlands took on MacArthur on Friday. Lake Highlands blew past MacArthur, posting a 64-33 win. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dallas Jesuit). They breezed by Irving to the tune of 84-40 on Tuesday. Given the Rangers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 73rd, while the Tigers are ranked 786th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Dallas Jesuit pushed their record up to 12-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.3 points per game. As for Lake Highlands, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests, which somehow still isn't as good as their 21-6 record this season.

Lake Highlands didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Dallas Jesuit in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 47-43 win.
