Recap: Edison Vikings vs. Franklin Yellowjackets
The Edison Vikings won the last time they faced the Franklin Yellowjackets, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Edison claimed a resounding 85-38 win over Franklin on the road. Given Edison's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 358th, while Franklin is ranked 1253rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Edison to victory were Kiaza Calhoun and Carmello Martin. Calhoun dropped a triple-double on 11 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists, while Martin scored 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals. It was the first time this season that Calhoun pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of David White ll, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and six assists.
Edison is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 16 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-10 record this season. As for Franklin, their defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-26.
Edison does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Franklin also has no future games currently scheduled.
