Soccer Game Preview: Ferguson vs. Edison

The Ferguson Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Edison Red Raiders at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Ferguson fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Jackson on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Generals by a score of 2-1. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Edison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were one goals away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Avant Garde Academy. That's two games in a row now that the Red Raiders have lost by just one goal.

Edison's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Ferguson, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 7-1-1.

Ferguson might still be hurting after the 6-1 defeat they got from Edison in their previous meeting back in December of 2017. Can Ferguson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
