Baseball Game Preview: Marietta Blue Devils vs. Cherokee Warriors

For the second straight game, Marietta will face off against Cherokee. Marietta will be playing in front of their home fans against Cherokee at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Marietta is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Marietta and Cherokee have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Tuesday. Marietta took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cherokee. That's two games in a row now that the Blue Devils have lost by exactly four runs.

The victory made it two in a row for Cherokee and bumps their season record up to 11-9. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Marietta, their loss dropped their record down to 8-12.
