Softball Recap: Pekin Dragons vs. Galesburg Silver Streaks
While Pekin's victory against Galesburg wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Dragons had just enough and edged out the Silver Streaks 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Dragons have posted since April 23rd.

Zoe Lindahl was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 17 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Towery, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jaeleigh Decker, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Pekin hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Galesburg struck out 17 times.
Pekin's record now sits at 18-11. As for Galesburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-25.
