Football Recap: Sage Creek Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Sage Creek kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a blow against the Del Norte Nighthawks, falling 45-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bobcats have suffered since September 19, 2024.

Del Norte found their leader in freshman Katelyn Maley, who threw for 187 yards and five touchdowns while completing 72.2% of her passes. Another player making a difference was Kensley Kim, who rushed for 68 yards and one TD.

Sage Creek has already played their next match, a 19-6 loss against Helix on the 15th. As for Del Norte, they will welcome Valley Center at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
