Softball Game Preview: Englewood Rams vs. Andrew Jackson Tigers

The Englewood Rams will face off against the Andrew Jackson Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

After dropping their season opener at home, Andrew Jackson is headed out to face a Rams team ready to give their home crowd a win. Englewood came up short against Wolfson on Thursday, falling 23-3. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Englewood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ciara Hoey, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson waltzed into their game on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 16-13.

Areya Foster spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and nine unearned) runs on ten hits.

At the plate, Andrew Jackson got a big performance out of Naturelle Harrision, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Alaya Tilton was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.

Andrew Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Englewood suffered a grim 20-5 defeat to Andrew Jackson when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Englewood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
