Preview: Miller Buccaneers vs. Ray Texans
The Miller Buccaneers will be playing at home against the Ray Texans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Miller has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 239 points over their last four matches.
Miller posted their closest win yet this season on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Victoria West and snuck past 64-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Miller to victory, but perhaps none more so than Damare Lister, who scored 17 points. Alex Zamora was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Ray came up short against Victoria East on Friday and fell 60-53. Ray has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Miller has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. As for Ray, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season.
Miller came out on top in a nail-biter against Ray when the teams last played back in February of 2023, sneaking past 61-59. Will Miller repeat their success, or does Ray have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
