Shadow Hills dropped down to 3-2 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They took a blow against the Beaumont Cougars, falling 51-16. The contest marked the Knights' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Even if they lost, Shadow Hills' defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. In fact, those sacks all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Isabella Moreno. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last four times she's played.

As for Beaumont, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won seven games by 25 points or more so far this season.

Beaumont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tessa Martinez led the charge by throwing for 164 yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 57 yards and one TD. Another passer making a difference was Laylene Fontes, who threw for 88 yards and three touchdowns.

Shadow Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 31-0 win against Palm Desert on the 18th. As for Beaumont, they have also already played their next match, a 28-12 victory against Norco on the 18th.
