Volleyball Recap: Mechanicsville Comes Up Short

After flying high against Highland Springs on Tuesday, Mechanicsville came back down to earth. The Mustangs came up short against the Atlee Raiders on Thursday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Mustangs have suffered since November 6, 2024.

Mechanicsville's loss dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Atlee, they pushed their record up to 14-1 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mechanicsville will square off against rival Varina at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Atlee is set to challenge their familiar foe Henrico at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
