Softball Recap: Thomas Walker Takes a Loss

Thomas Walker extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 31 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-15 in the process. They lost 18-0 to the Eastside Spartans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-0 on Friday.

As for Eastside, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-2. Their pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last four matchups.

For Eastside's part, Zoe Sartin made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Sartin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Eastside got a massive performance out of Jada Jordan, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple was Jordan's first of the season. Lexi Bond was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four runs and one RBI.

As of now, neither Thomas Walker nor Eastside have any future games scheduled.
