Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Charter Eagles vs. North Rowan Cavaliers

The Lincoln Charter Eagles will venture away from home to take on the North Rowan Cavaliers at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Lincoln Charter knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine matches -- so hopefully North Rowan likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, everything came up roses for Lincoln Charter against Legion Collegiate Academy as the team secured an 84-38 victory. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 48-13.

Lincoln Charter's success was spearheaded by the efforts of David Reed IV, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Mckennon Showers, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 18 points. Reed IV's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Braydon Walden, who posted nine points.

Meanwhile, North Rowan took their game on Friday with ease, bagging an 87-42 win over East Davidson. The Cavaliers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 31 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for North Rowan and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Lincoln Charter, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.
