Desert Hills and Timpanogos squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Desert Hills had to settle for second. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Timberwolves. The Thunder's loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Brodie Hoag paced Desert Hills' offense, picking up 25 kills. Hoag got some help from Jordan Schudde and his 31 assists. Finally, Hoag was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Timpanogos was led to victory by Chance Wallace and Zaxen Downey. Wallace had 23 digs and one assist, while Downey had 43 assists and ten digs. Downey is crushing it when it comes to assists: he's posted at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season.

Desert Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Timpanogos, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-9.

Desert Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Payson on the 8th. As for Timpanogos, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Orem on the 8th.
