Volleyball Recap: Arthur County Takes a Loss

Arthur County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Sandhills Valley Mavericks. While the Wolves didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mavericks 25-18 in the first set.

Arthur County actually scored more points across those three sets (70-69), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-21, 26-24.

Arthur County now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Sandhills Valley, they pushed their record up to 7-19 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Arthur County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Wauneta-Palisade on the 23rd. As for Sandhills Valley, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against South Loup on the 21st.
