Ryan Peace commands the offense for Bulldogs win

Recap: Marianna Bulldogs vs. Graceville Tigers

The Marianna Bulldogs had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.2 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Monday. They strolled past Graceville with points to spare, taking the game 82-64. Given Marianna's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 61st, while Graceville is ranked 349th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Marianna's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryan Peace, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Peace is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tra'jan Spears, who scored 19 points along with two steals.

Marianna has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season. As for Graceville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marianna will take on Sneads at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sneads will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Graceville, they will head out on the road to challenge Malone at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Malone focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Monday.
