Preview: Abundant Life Owls vs. Christian Ministries Academy Conquerors
Abundant Life has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Christian Ministries Academy Conquerors at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-32, which was the final score in Abundant Life's tilt against Bismarck last Saturday. While losing is never fun, Abundant Life can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Bismarck is ranked 132nd).
Christian Ministries Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 41-10 victory over Columbia Christian on the road. The victory was just what Christian Ministries Academy needed coming off of a 61-26 loss in their prior contest.
Christian Ministries Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Faith Grim out in front who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Madison Garner, who scored 15 points.
Abundant Life's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Christian Ministries Academy, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Abundant Life might still be hurting after the 44-18 defeat they got from Christian Ministries Academy when the teams last played back in December of 2022. Can Abundant Life avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
