Softball Recap: Waupaca Takes a Loss

Waupaca was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Marinette Marines. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 19-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Waupaca saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was L Cinchy, who went 1-for-4 with one triple.

Waupaca's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Marinette, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waupaca will square off against Winneconne at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Marinette, they will face off against Wrightstown at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
