Volleyball Recap: Watsonville's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Watsonville had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Monterey Bay Academy by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 0-0 back in March.

The victory didn't come easy: Monterey Bay Academy scored at least 21 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-21, 21-25, 25-23.

Watsonville's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7. As for Monterey Bay Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Watsonville will venture away from home to challenge Salinas at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcatz are facing the Cowboys at the right time seeing as the Cowboys are stuck on a three-game losing streak. After both having extra time off, Monterey Bay Academy and Oakwood will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
