Basketball Recap: Broken Arrow Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Win

Broken Arrow had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28.9 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They claimed a resounding 76-32 win over the Enid Plainsmen. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight matchups by 22 points or more this season.

Broken Arrow had a senior duo take command as McKenzie Mathurin went 9 for 14 on her way to 24 points and Macy Marraccini went 6 of 7 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points. The game was Mathurin's 14th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rekiah Bowen, who went 5 of 12 en route to 14 points and seven boards.

Broken Arrow pushed their record up to 13-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Enid, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Broken Arrow will host Sapulpa at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Enid, they will venture away from home to square off against Charles Page at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
