Basketball Recap: Gio Driggers Key Part of a Team Effort in Titans Win

Heide Trask lost to Richlands last Wednesday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. Everything went the Heide Trask Titans' way against the Richlands Wildcats as the Heide Trask Titans made off with an 81-58 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Titans.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heide Trask to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gio Driggers, who went 9 of 10 en route to 20 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matthias Sonne, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 17 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Heide Trask was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Heide Trask's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Richlands, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heide Trask will host Whiteville at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richlands, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Northside - Jacksonville at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th.
