Soccer Game Preview: Paideia vs. Jackson County

The Paideia Pythons will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Jackson County Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Paideia headed into their last match having not scored more than one goal for four straight, but Mount Paran Christian let them put that streak behind them. Paideia's defense stepped up to hand Mount Paran Christian a 4-0 shutout on Thursday. The game marked the Pythons' most dominant win of the season so far.

Meanwhile, Jackson County was able to grind out a solid victory over Clarke Central on Friday, taking the game 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Gladiators: they've now won three in a row.

Jackson County pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three contests. As for Paideia, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
