Cleveland came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Seaforth Hawks.

While Cleveland might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Seaforth scored at least ten points in every set they played. The final score came out to 24-26, 25-23, 25-20, 27-29, 15-10.

Despite the defeat, Seaforth saw an underclassman step up: freshman Isabelle Valgus had 20 digs and eight assists. Those 20 digs set a new season-high mark for Valgus.

Cleveland's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Seaforth, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.

Looking ahead, Cleveland will be playing at home against Wakefield at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Seaforth, they will take on Carrboro at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Hawks their first taste of in-conference action this season.
