Softball Game Preview: Fort Bend Willowridge Eagles vs. Sealy Tigers

For the first time this season, Fort Bend Willowridge will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Friday. They will venture away from home to challenge the Sealy Tigers at 6:30 p.m.

Fort Bend Willowridge is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 14th straight game dating back to last season on March 1st. They came up short against Alief Elsik, falling 18-5.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sealy). They blew past Stafford 20-3 on Tuesday. The Tigers have beaten the Spartans the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Spartans has come to flipping the script.

Charlee Ramos was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in February. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in hits.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caylee Syzdek, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Karly Kram12, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Sealy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
