Volcano Vista faced Los Lunas in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Volcano Vista walked away with a 10-5 victory over Los Lunas. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 15-8 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Volcano Vista has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Los Lunas and nudges their season record down to 6-6.
