Football Game Preview: Tuckahoe Tigers vs. Bronxville Broncos

The Tuckahoe Tigers will venture away from home to challenge the Bronxville Broncos at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are still undefeated (Tuckahoe has six wins , while Bronxville has five).

Tuckahoe is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Edgemont 42-14. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Panthers are ranked 506th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Declan Connolly continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 146 yards and two TDs on only 11 carries. Another player making a difference was Connor Brice, who threw for 103 yards and one touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Tuckahoe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 289 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Another reason for the win was Tuckahoe's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 4.5 sacks. Logan Bogetti was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Bronxville against John Jay on Saturday as the squad secured a 44-13 win. Fans of the Broncos have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Tuckahoe's record is now 6-0. As for Bronxville, their record now sits at 5-0.

Tuckahoe skirted past Bronxville 21-19 in their previous matchup back in September of 2023. Will the Tigers repeat their success, or do the Broncos have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
