Baseball Recap: Cheyenne Wells Takes a Loss

Cheyenne Wells lost against Holly back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers lost 13-2 to the Wildcats.

Trey Scheler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Cheyenne Wells' defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Holly, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cheyenne Wells will face off against Manzanola at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigers are facing the Bobcats at the right time seeing as the Bobcats are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Holly, they will challenge Swink at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
