STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley won the last time they faced Hazelwood East and things went their way on Monday too. The Bulldogs blew past the Spartans 9-3. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Mustafa Taylor was incredible, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Wiseman, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Hazelwood East, they dropped their record down to 3-7-1 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, STEAM Academy at McCluer South Berkeley will face off against Jennings at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hazelwood East, they will challenge Hazelwood Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 6.7 runs per game this season.
