Recap: East Duplin Panthers vs. James Kenan Tigers
Make it nine blowout wins for the East Duplin Panthers this season. They blew past James Kenan 56-22 on the road. The victory was nothing new for East Duplin as they're now sitting on nine straight.
East Duplin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zakoya Farrior, who scored 18 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Farrior has scored all season. Kinsey Cave was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds.
East Duplin's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for James Kenan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Duplin will take on Swansboro at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Swansboro will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 307th, while East Duplin is ranked 78th). As for James Kenan, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against North Lenoir at 6:30 p.m. North Lenoir has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8.
