Preview: Tucker County Mountain Lions vs. Petersburg Vikings        
        
		
            
 Tucker County is 2-7 against Petersburg since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Tucker County Mountain Lions will look to defend their home field  against the Petersburg Vikings at 7:00  p.m. Tucker County will be coming into the  match with an undefeated record on the line.
 Tucker County put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season  on Friday. They blew past Smithsburg, posting a  40-6 win at home. Given Tucker County's advantage  in MaxPreps's football rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 33rd in West Virginia, while Smithsburg is ranked 168th in Maryland), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 The critical scores for Tucker County came from  Racer Channel,  Maddox Anderson, and  blaike adams.
 The team won by  holding Smithsburg to a paltry 39 yards. A big part of that defensive dominance came down to Tucker County's ability to keep the quarterback under pressure: the team laid him out three times before it was all said and done.  Gavin Mullenax was especially locked on to Smithsburg's QB and sacked him three times.
 Meanwhile, Petersburg came up short against Uniontown on Friday and fell  14-6. Petersburg has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Tucker County's victory was  their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0. They've been dominating during the  games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 50 points. As for Petersburg, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost four of their last five contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.
 Tucker County beat Petersburg 26-13  when the teams last played  back in October of 2022. Will Tucker County repeat their success,  or does  Petersburg have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
