Basketball Game Preview: Veterans Warhawks vs. Coffee Trojans

The Veterans Warhawks and the Coffee Trojans will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Veterans comes in on five and Coffee on 14.

On Thursday, Veterans strolled past Lee County with points to spare, taking the game 51-33.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Coffee against Northside on Thursday as the team secured a 55-15 victory. The Trojans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 19 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Veterans' win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Coffee, their victory bumped their record up to 25-1.

Veterans and Coffee were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in January, but Veterans came up empty-handed after a 63-62 defeat. Can Veterans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
